Air Canada E170 at Toronto on Dec 6th 2009, flaps problem


An Air Canada Embraer ERJ-170, registration C-FEIX performing flight AC-765 from Newark,NJ (USA) to Toronto,ON (Canada) with 63 passengers and 4 crew, was on approach to Toronto's runway 24R at 4000 feet, when the crew reported they had a flaps problems and requested vectors to work the checklists for about 10 minutes. 15 minutes later the crew declared emergency and went for an ILS approach to the longest runway 23. The airplane landed safely about 30 minutes after pulling out of the approach 24R and taxied off the runway.
