Passageiros foram retirados nesta quinta-feira de um avião da Delta Air Lines depois de um incêndio nos freios enquanto a aeronave taxiava rumo à pista do Aeroporto Internacional Logan, em Boston, nos Estados Unidos, disseram autoridades de aviação.
Segundo autoridades aeroportuárias, todos os passageiros foram retirados do voo 2101 da Delta, com destino a Atlanta, e ninguém ficou ferido.
A causa foi um incêndio no freio da aeronave MD90, afirmou uma porta-voz da Administração de Aviação Federal.
Um porta-voz do aeroporto encaminhou outros pedidos de informações à companhia aérea. Um representante da Delta afirmou que não havia mais detalhes imediatamente disponíveis.
A Boeing assumiu o suporte a aeronaves McDonnell Douglas depois de ter comprado a companhia em 1997.

A Delta Airlines McDonnell Douglas MD-90, registration N932DN performing flight DL-2101 from Boston,MA to Atlanta,GA (USA), had lined up on runway 33L awaiting takeoff clearance when the crew advised they had a little problem with the right hand brakes that appeared stuck. The aircraft was instructed to taxi down runway 33L to return to the gate, while moving slowly the crew requested emergency services to attend the aircraft due to the brakes becoming "really hot". The crew of another aircraft radioed the right main gear appeared on fire and the tyres may have been blown. The crew stopped the aircraft on the spot and shut the aircraft down, the smoke off the brake subsided. After emergency services arrived the passengers disembarked onto the runway via stairs and were bussed to the terminal.
Runway 33L was closed while emergency services responded until the aircraft was towed clear of the runway.
Following repairs the aircraft was able to depart and reached Atlanta with a delay of 7 hours.
