First Airbus A350 Rolls Out Of Assembly Hangar

Airbus’s first flyable A350 XWB test aircraft has rolled out of the main assembly building in Toulouse and into a testing hangar.

Electrical systems in the fuselage and wings have already been successfully powered up. The plane will now undergo several weeks of additional tests of the aircraft’s hydraulic system, which will be followed by the full electric and hydraulic power-on.

The plane will then move again to have its engines installed and receive its first paint job.

First flight of the A350 XWB is expected in mid-2013.
