American Airlines Continues Fleet Renewal

American Airlines, the huge United States commercial carrier, has welcomed the arrival of its very first Airbus A319 aircraft. The airline company has actually ordered a whopping total of two hundred sixty of these modern, but narrow-body planes from the European manufacturer.
American Airlines and Airbus found time to celebrate the delivery and receipt of this first aircraft in a joyful ceremony that was held at the Airbus manufacturing plant in Hamburg, Germany.
American Airlines is delighted with the purchase and, of course, with the first plane that is now in its possession. They are convinced that the new planes will give their passengers the benefit of modern, twenty first century technology, greater comfort highlighted by plush leather seats, access to Wi-Fi on every flight and, for those that travel in first class, the opportunity to enjoy their choice of more than two hundred DVDs that American Airlines will make available for onboard viewing during short-and-long distance flights.
There was no indication given as to when the new Airbus A319 aircraft will begin flying regularly for American Airlines. The cost of the purchase of the two hundred sixty planes was also not disclosed.
